Who should get professional teeth whitening?

Professional teeth whitening is suitable for individuals with healthy teeth and gums seeking to improve the brightness of their smile. It’s particularly beneficial for those with stubborn stains from factors like aging, tobacco use, or consumption of staining foods and beverages. Unlike over-the-counter teeth whitening products, professional teeth whitening allows you to select your desired shade of white, and our team will work with you until these results are achieved.

Does teeth whitening cause tooth sensitivity?

Professional teeth whitening can cause temporary tooth sensitivity for some individuals, typically as a result of the bleaching agents penetrating the enamel. This sensitivity usually subsides within a couple days post-treatment. Using desensitizing toothpaste and avoiding very hot and cold food and drinks can help minimize potential discomfort. Should you have any questions or concerns for us in the days following your treatment, feel free to contact us.

How are custom teeth whitening trays made?

Custom teeth whitening trays are made by taking digital impressions of the patient’s teeth to create personalized molds. These molds ensure a snug fit, allowing the whitening gel to evenly coat the teeth while minimizing contact with the gums and soft tissues. Our custom trays are also reusable, so once they are created and your custom shade is selected, you are welcome to pick up professional-grade whitening gel and continue whitening your smile at home whenever necessary.

Will my teeth look too bright?

Typically, when a patient’s teeth look unnaturally white, poorly designed veneers are to blame. Teeth whitening treatments rarely cause teeth to look so white that they appear unnatural, and even so, the effects of the treatment will fade with time. Our team will work with you to determine the precise shade of white that will enhance your appearance without looking fake or unnatural.
